Die Fotografin Yvonne Oswald hat sich auf eine intensive Spurensuche begeben und fing die verbliebene Aura im Südbahnhotel mit der Kamera ein. „Das Südbahnhotel“ ist eine fotografisch-künstlerische Arbeit über das im historischen Kontext wichtigste weitgehend original erhaltene Palasthotel Mitteleuropas. Es versinnbildlicht die Leere, die durch die Ermordung und Vertreibung der Jüdinnen und Juden entstanden ist.

The photographer Yvonne Oswald set off to seek the traces of this bygone era and capture the residual aura of the Südbahnhotel with her camera. “Das Südbahnhotel” is an artistic photographic work with the extensively intact palace hotel, within its historical context one of the most important in Central Europe, as its subject. It is also a metaphor for the vacuum created through the murder and expulsion of the Jews.
