Die Sammlungsausstellung Changes nimmt neuere Sammlungszugänge wie etwa jene von Leidy Churchman, János Fájo, Philipp Fleischmann, Birke Gorm, Jojo Gronostay, Frida Orupabo oder Emily Wardill und teils noch nie im mumok gezeigte Werke in den Fokus und konfrontiert diese mit älteren Beständen, die auf diese Weise neu entdeckt werden können. Thematische Schwerpunkte beleuchten dabei einige aus gegenwärtiger Sicht relevante Kontexte: Abstraktionen, Texturen, Lebenswelten und Un/Sichtbarkeiten.
In seiner Praxis beschäftigt sich Jojo Gronostay mit Fragen der Identität und Repräsentation, Plattformen, Recycling und dem Dazwischen. In seiner Arbeit erforscht er die politischen und wirtschaftlichen Strukturen zwischen Europa und Afrika. Mit Plattformen wie DWMC hat er sich selbst eine Struktur geschaffen, um in diese Kreisläufe einzugreifen. Dabei untersucht er Konzepte wie Wirtschaft oder Wert sowie den Austausch von Menschen und Gütern zwischen den beiden Kontinenten.

The collection show Changes focuses on recent acquisitions to the mumok collection, with works by Leidy Churchman, János Fájo, Philipp Fleischmann, Birke Gorm, Jojo Gronostay, Frida Orupabo, and Emily Wardill, and other works from the collection that have not yet been shown at mumok, and confronts these with older holdings which can thus be seen afresh.
In his practice, Jojo Gronostay deals with questions of identity and representation, platforms, recycling and the in-between. His work explores the political and economic structures between Europe and Africa and with platforms such as DWMC, he also created a structure for himself to intervene in these cycles. Thereby examining concepts such as economy or value as well as the exchange of people and goods between the two continents.
