Der Grazer Künstler David Reumüller befasst sich mit Kommunikation und Wahrnehmungsphänomenen. In der Kunsthalle Graz errichtet er nun eine raumfüllende Installation, ein multimediales Szenario aus Gerüstkonstruktionen, Videos, Malerei und Sound, das an ein verlassenes oder im Aufbau begriffenes Filmset erinnert.
Das Programm der heurigen Diagonale versteht sich als Einladung zu einer Reise in die Wunderwelt Kino: von den Archiven des NHM in Wien bis in die Häuserschluchten von NYC, vom Jedermann über Vera Gemma weiter ins Matriarchat. Der Wettbewerb der Diagonale tanzt sich durch Kino, Pop- und Clubkultur und regt zum Diskutieren, Sinnieren und Schwelgen an – bei den Talks und Rahmenveranstaltungen oder nach einem langen Kinotag in der Diagonale-Bar und im Club Diagonale im p.p.c.

The Graz-based artist David Reumüller is concerned with communication and perceptual phenomena. In the Kunsthalle Graz he is now setting up a room-filling installation, a multimedia scenario of scaffolding constructions, videos, painting and sound, reminiscent of an abandoned film set or one under construction.
The programme of this year's Diagonale sees itself as an invitation to a journey into the wonder world of cinema: from the archives of the NHM in Vienna to the urban canyons of NYC, from Everyman to Vera Gemma and on to Matriarchy. The Diagonale competition dances its way through cinema, pop and club culture and encourages discussion, contemplation and indulgence - at the talks and fringe events or after a long day of cinema at the Diagonale Bar and Club Diagonale at the p.p.c.
