Großer Diagonale Schauspielpreis 2025 | Inge Maux
Im Rahmen der Festivaleröffnung vergibt die Diagonale zum bereits 18. Mal den Großen Diagonale-Schauspielpreis für Verdienste um die österreichische Filmkultur. Die Auszeichnung geht dieses Jahr an die charismatische Charakterdarstellerin Inge Maux. Die Schauspielerin und Künstlerin wird den Preis, gestaltet Maruša Sagadin, am Eröffnungsabend persönlich in Graz entgegennehmen.
DER PREIS: ein Kunstwerk von Maruša Sagadin
Die Arbeit von Maruša Sagadin bewegt sich an der Schnittstelle zwischen privatem und öffentlichem Raum und bricht mit etablierten Codes für die Betrachtung von Kunstwerken. Mit humoristischen Methoden und Übertreibungen thematisiert sie Sichtbarkeit und unterwandert den gesellschaftlichen Diskurs, der sie umgibt. Die gestalteten Objekte verweisen auf Elemente der Pop- und Subkultur, das Zusammenspiel zwischen Farbe und Form nimmt in ihren Arbeiten die Fäden der Gegenwart auf.

„Sie ist unverwechselbar. Inge Maux lässt sich auf ihre Rollen mit enormer Hingabe und ohne Zurückhaltung ein. Egal, ob komödiantisch, dramatisch, tragisch: Ihr Spiel hat Textur und Tiefe. Immer stellt sie sich und ihr prismatisches darstellerisches Talent zur Gänze in den Dienst der Sache. So entstehen Figuren, die sprühen. Grand Diagonale Acting Award 2025 | Inge Maux
As part of the festival opening for the 18th time, the Diagonale will award the Grand Diagonale Acting Award for services to Austrian film culture. This year the award goes to the charismatic and versatile character actress Inge Maux. The actress and artist will accept the award, designed by Maruša Sagadin, in person in Graz on opening night.

The work of Maruša Sagadin operates at the interface between private and public space, and breaks with established codes for viewing works of art. Using humorous methods and exaggerations, she addresses visibility and undermines the social discourse that surrounds her. The designed objects refer to elements of pop and subculture, and the interplay between color and form in her works takes up elements of the present.
